The proposals for this project consisted of various internal and external alterations to improve and modernise this detached 1960’s 4 bedroom house. We provided guidance, designs and submitted the planning application for this property which is located in a Conservation Area.
Having been the family home many years ago, and then rented out, a family member took ownership of the property and wanted to modernise it and make it suitable for their needs.
Changes included a brand new kitchen with bi-fold doors connecting to the outside, the removal of an internal wall from the kitchen to open it up to the dining room, pantry access off the kitchen, and a new cloakroom. Upstairs rooms were adjusted to create a large luxury bathroom.
Externally a new canopy was designed to cantilever off the existing flat roof over part of the entrance and garage. To the front, the existing plastic cladding was replaced with timber batten cladding which also extended over the brickwork.
